THE COST of insuring a car has fallen to a four-year low as motorists benefit from a record 19% drop in average premiums compared with a year ago. The Confused.com car insurance price index, in association with Towers Watson, reveals the average cost of comprehensive car insurance in the first quarter stood at £596, a drop of £140 against this time last year. The figure, including a reduction of 7.5% on the previous quarter, means that average premiums have dipped below £600 for the first time since late 2009.

The promo film runs for nearly 10 minutes and showcases the Mercedes with clear shots inside and out. We already know that Hyundai will be taking the new ix35 / Tucson ix to Frankfurt, and now comes news that Hyundai have produced a mini crossover concept – the Hyundai ixMetro Concept - which will be presented at Frankfurt and go in to production in 2011. The ix-Metro features a 1.0 litre, 3-pot, turbo, direct injection petrol hybrid which delivers a very impressive 125 bhp. But it also manages to emit just 80g/km CO2.
